Tuesday Open Doubles League - Fall (10 Weeks)
Season Duration: October 13 - December 15, 2026
Game Time: Tuesdays at 8:45pm
Game Format: 8 ends, using Curling Canada's Mixed Doubles rules
Team Entry:
Enter as a team of two (each curler must register themselves)
Individual entries will also be considered
Eligibility:
Open to curlers of all skill levels
Teams do not need to be mixed, teams of 2 males or 2 females are eligible
League Fee: $150+GST/person
Smart Start – Fall (8 Weeks)
Season Duration: October 28 – December 16, 2026
Session Time: Wednesdays, 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Note: the first 30 minutes of each session is in the classroom.
Program Format: 8-week in-depth program focused on mastering the basic skills of curling
Program Overview:
Smart Start is designed for adult beginners who are new to the sport and want to build a strong foundation in curling fundamentals.
What to Bring:
- Warm clothing
- Clean indoor runners or curling shoes
- All equipment is provided
Eligibility:
Open to adults of all skill levels
No prior curling experience required
League Fee and Discounts:
- $195 + GST / Public
- $171 + GST / U of A Staff and Alumni
- $49 + GST / Full-Time U of A Undergraduate Students
Wednesday Open Rookie League – Fall (8 Weeks)
Season Duration: 8 weeks, Dates Coming Soon
Game Time: Wednesdays, 8:30 PM - 10:15 PM
Game Format: 6 ends
Registration is individual only.
Teams will be formed on the first night of the league.
Eligibility:
Open to beginner curlers, aged 18+
Recommended: At least one Smart Start session prior to registering
All equipment is provided
What to Bring:
Warm clothing and clean indoor runners or curling shoes

- Special rate for first-time undergraduate students
League Fee and Discounts:
- $195 + GST / Public
- $171 + GST / U of A Staff and Alumni

Wednesday Open Senior League (50+) - Fall (11 Weeks)
Season Duration: October 7, 2026 – December 16, 2026
Game Time: Wednesdays at 9:15am
Game Format: 8 ends with a buzzer to ensure games finish on time
Team Entry:
Enter as a team of four (each curler must register themselves)
Individual entries will also be considered
Returning Teams:

- Must register by August 28, 2026 to retain their spot
- A "returning team" must include three returning team members
New Teams:

- Will be contacted if space becomes available

Eligibility: Open to curlers of all skill levels, aged 50 or older
League Format: Round-robin within seeded, balanced pools of 11 teams
Each team will play 10 games and have one bye
Club Championship Playoffs:
The winner of each pool will qualify for the Club Championship
Club Championship Dates: Late March 2027 (subject to change)
League Fee: $170+GST/person
Thursday 2-Person Stick League - Fall (10 Weeks)

Game Times: Thursdays at 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM
Game Format: Teams must play both time slots
Games are approximately 50 minutes each
Played using Canadian Stick Curling Rules
Team Entry:
Enter as a team of two (each curler must register themselves)
Individual entries will also be considered
Eligibility:
Open to curlers of all skill levels, age 18 years or older
Teams can be formed with any combination of genders
Club Championship Playoffs:
All teams will be eligible to qualify for the Club Championship playoffs
The winning team will represent the Saville Centre at:
- EACC Cities
- Curling Alberta Club Championship Playdown
Club Championship Dates: December or January (TBA)
League Fee: $85+GST/person
