Saville Curling is proud to offer a large variety of leagues that accommodate a wide range of curlers. So, whether you’re a recreational player or someone competitive; if you’re young, old or somewhere in-between, we are sure to have a league suitable for you.

Smart Start
This innovative, in-depth program is aimed at adults who are new to the sport of curling and have a desire to master the basics skills of the game. All equipment is provided. Please come dressed in warm clothing and clean, indoor runners or curling shoes.
Season Duration: September 9, 16, & 23, 2026
Session Time: Wednesdays, 6:30 PM - 8:15 PM
Program Format: 3 Week Learn-to-Curl Crash Course
Program Overview:
3-Clinic series introducing beginner curlers to the basics of throwing and sweeping, along with what's invovled with game play.
*It is also possible to register for a Single Clinic depending on ice and instructor availability. Please email curling@ualberta.ca for more details.
Participants will learn how to throw and sweep effectively, and how to contribute appropriately in a game-like setting.
What to Bring:
- Warm clothing
- Clean indoor runners or curling shoes
- All equipment is provided
Eligibility:
Open to adults of all skill levels
No prior curling experience required
Program Fee and Discounts:
- $85 + GST / Public for 3 Clinics
- $30 + GST / Public for 1 Clinic
Wednesday Open League - Summer (5 Weeks)
Season Duration: August 12 - September 16, 2026
Note: No curling on August 26
Game Time: Wednesdays at 7:00pm
Game Format: 8 ends
Team Entry:
Enter as a team of four (each curler must register themselves)
Individual entries will also be considered
Eligibility:
Open to curlers of all skill levels
Teams can be made up of any combination of genders
League Fee: $110+GST/person
Tuesday Open Doubles League - Summer (5 Weeks)
Season Duration: August 11 - September 15, 2026
Note: No curling on August 25
Game Time: Tuesdays at 7:00pm
Game Format: 8 ends, using Curling Canada's Mixed Doubles rules
Team Entry:
Enter as a team of two (each curler must register themselves)
Individual entries will also be considered (each player must register individually)
Eligibility:
Open to curlers of all skill levels
Teams do not need to be mixed, teams of 2 males or 2 females are eligible
League Fee: $85+GST/person
