The Saville Community Sports Centre Curling Club proudly carries forward the legacy of the Balmoral Curling Club, originally known as the Balmoral Lounge. Founded in 1938, Balmoral served Edmonton’s curling community for 65 years before becoming part of the Saville Centre in 2004. That spirit of camaraderie and grassroots curling lives on in everything we do.
With 10 dedicated sheets of ice, we’ve spent the past 20 years building a welcoming, inclusive space where curling thrives at every level. From long-standing community leagues and associate leagues to school field trips, corporate events, and beginner-friendly instructional programs, there’s something for everyone at Saville. Whether you're learning to slide for the first time or reconnecting with the sport, we’re here to help you enjoy the game.
As a designated National Training Centre by Curling Canada, we’re also proud to support high-performance curling. Home to the University of Alberta’s Bears and Pandas varsity teams, the Saville has produced provincial, national, and Olympic champions. We also host national and international events each year, including the annual Saville Shootout, which draws top-tier competition to our ice.
At its heart, our club is about community. Whether you curl for fun, fitness, or competition, the Saville Community Sports Centre is where Edmonton comes to play, learn, and grow the game.
